Maria's Upholstery Workshop, based in Meppershall, Bedfordshire, has grown into a well-known centre for learning the craft of upholstery since opening in 2010. We welcome students of all abilities - from complete beginners to those looking to advance their skills in both modern and traditional upholstery techniques. We offer a wide range of learning experiences, including in-house Taster Sessions, structured 2,3 & 5 day courses as well as our flexible and popular 'Pay as You Upholster' Leisure Classes, available as full or half-day sessions.
For 2026, we are delighted to offer our expanded collection of all-inclusive Bespoke Upholstery Projects, created for students who want to focus on specific skills and techniques. With the exception of our Leisure Classes, all courses are fully inclusive: furniture frames, upholstery materials, tools & equipment, selected fabrics and expert tuition.
