The workshop is located at 5 Shefford Road, Meppershall and is only a 15 minute drive from the A1 at Stotfold and 25 minutes from the M1 at Toddington. It is also close to local amenities with a village shop and local baker both within walking distance. A selection of three mini supermarkets are less than two miles away in Shefford.
Our workshop is a purpose built facility designed and equipped to teach both modern and traditional upholstery in a clean and well illuminated environment. The workshop can accommodate up to six students at any one time which enables the tutor to provide everyone with as much help and support as they need to complete their projects. Installed within the workshop are industrial sewing machines and industrial over-locker, air powered staples guns together with a comprehensive range of hand tools and upholstery materials. |
The workshop provides PPE equipment for students to use when working. MTU Limited holds accounts with many of the mainstream fabric suppliers and has a comprehensive selection of samples and fabric books. Students are able to order samples and fabrics at discounted prices.
Refreshments are available during the day with access to a refrigerator and microwave. Parking is available on site and there is easy access to the workshop.
